Terms of Service

Welcome to PixelWars. By using this website or purchasing display space on the board, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. What you are buying

Users purchase a temporary, revocable display license for selected pixels on the PixelWars board. Users do not own the pixels, the board, or any permanent advertising space. Other users may overwrite or conquer pixels according to the game rules. PixelWars may reject, hide, or remove content that violates the Content Policy or applicable law.

In other words: a purchase buys a temporary, non-exclusive display license — your approved content is shown on the selected area of the public board. You are not buying pixels, virtual property, ownership of any part of the site, or any guarantee of display duration.

2. The overwrite rule

This is a game. After a short grace period following your purchase (its current length is shown at checkout — as of this writing, 15 minutes, during which your area cannot be bought), any other user may paint over your area at any time by paying at least the current multiple (shown at checkout) of what you paid. Paying more than the minimum raises the price others must pay to overwrite you, but nothing prevents overwriting forever. When your area is painted over, your content stops being displayed and being overwritten does not entitle you to a refund or compensation — it is the core mechanic of the game, disclosed at checkout, and you accept it with every purchase.

3. Refunds

Because PixelWars is a digital, customized display service that may begin shortly after purchase, refunds may be limited once content has been approved or displayed. See the Refund Policy for details, including what happens when content is rejected before display.

4. Content rules and moderation

All submitted content is checked automatically before payment and may be automatically or manually reviewed before appearing publicly. It must comply with the Content Policy. We may reject, hide, remove, or blank any content at any time, at our sole discretion — including content reported after display via the report form. You must own or have the rights to any content you submit, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and stream it (including on video platforms such as YouTube).

5. Your link

Optional tile links are provided by buyers, not endorsed by us. We may remove links at our discretion. Links must point to lawful content.

6. Availability, changes, shutdown

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no uptime guarantee. We may change the board size, pricing rules, or features, suspend the service, or shut the site down permanently at any time. Because purchases are one-time payments for temporary display (not a subscription or a promise of duration), shutdown or downtime does not create a right to a refund, except where mandatory law says otherwise.

7. Eligibility and payments

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase. Payments are processed by PayPal; we never see or store your card details. Amounts are charged in USD.

8. Prohibited behavior

• Attempting to bypass content moderation in any way.
• Automated purchasing, scraping, or interfering with the service.
• Chargebacks or payment disputes made in bad faith.
• Impersonating other people or brands in display names or content.

We may ban users, names, or payment sources that break these rules.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the purchase giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost publicity value.

10. Copyright / takedown

If content on the board infringes your rights, email avikik@gmail.com with the tile location and proof of rights; infringing content will be removed promptly.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction — without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply to you where you live.
